Easy Bread sticks:
Mix bread, for instance Italian Herb and Cheese, spread on a cookie sheet, I like to make the indentions defining the lines of the breadsticks on the dough before baking, I then sprinkle parmesan and grated mozzarella cheese on top and bake, basting with melted butter before putting the cheese on only makes it better.
Easy Bread Bowl for Dips or Soups:
Mix beer bread according to directions, place mixture in a round cake pan mounding the center, bake according to directions, when done(toothpick inserted comes out clean) place on a rack to cool.
When cool slice the top off and remove, cut a circle about 1 1/2 inches from the side. Hollow out the center to 1 1/2 inches from the bottom. Baste the inside and outside with butter or olive oil, place back in a 350 degree oven and bake for approximately 15 minutes till starting to brown. Cool and ready to serve.
The photo at the right shows the individual beer bread bowl, made with mammoth muffin tins, one package of beer bread mix makes 6. You can find the tins at Walmart. The beer breads shown are cheddar jalapeno beer bread with jalapeno dip, the lighter colored bowls are plain beer bread. These can be used as appetizers for dips, soups or salads(what about ham or chicken salad?).
